Heavy Rain Alert Issued Across Northern India
Chandigarh, Aug 18 — The India Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert covering large parts of northern India, warning of intense showers and lightning over the next 72 hours.
Disaster response teams in affected districts have been asked to remain on standby, and district administrations have been advised to clear drainage channels ahead of the spell.
